REMOVING
SCARS AND striAE (STRETCH MARKS)
Erbium Laser or Fractional CO2 Laser treatment is the
most intense and efficient for the removal of striae (stretch marks) and
scars. The light energy burns the skin
surface and stimulates the production of firm, healthy collagen.
Treatment Procedure:
The dermatologist spreads anesthetic cream and leaves it 30– 60 minutes to affect the treated areas. After disinfecting
the skin, light flashes, applied by a laser head piece, are changed to thermal
energy in the skin. The resulting structural changes are necessary to improve the skin by thermal damaging the old, and stimulating the new, firm
collagen.
Patients need to take three – four days off work, as the skin surface of the face is
damaged (burnt). For scars and stretch
marks, three to four treatment sessions are recommended.
