The most intense and most effective
procedures of skin rejuvenation, resurfacing of wrinkles, stretch marks and
scars use Fractional CO2 Laser. In this treatment the surface of the skin is
burnt up by means of light energy to stimulate the production of firm, healthy
collagen. It is also good for removing unwanted small outgrowths on the skin.
Treatment Procedure
The doctor administers anesthetic cream leaving it there for 30 – 60 minutes. After disinfecting the area, light flashes applied
by the laser hand-piece are changed to thermal energy. The skin surface is
destroyed and burnt down, resulting in structural changes of the skin necessary
to improve its quality by thermal devastation of the old collagen to support the
formation of new firm collagen. This is
not a week-end therapy; the patients will need four to five days to recover
from the skin burns. One treatment is sufficient for facial rejuvenation, acne
scars and stretch marks require the procedure to be repeated three to four
times.
How long do the results last?
When treated for rejuvenation, the skin will be improved for several years,
looking smooth, tight, glowing; the small lines around opur mouth and eyes will
disappear.
Indications
This treatment may be indicated for mature facial skin of 50 + years, but also
for younger skin with expressive lines around the mouth or acne scars.
