DepilATION
In our Centers depilation is achieved by several techniques including
the newest and most modern MEDIOSTAR diode laser by the German ASCLEPION laser
technologies, and intensive pulse light (IPL)
combined with radiofrequency radiation. For single grey hair, also thermal
energy of high frequency cauter (cauterization means burning the body tissue) is
applied by a needle. Laser or IPL target the energy
to destroy hair roots without affecting the surrounding tissue. About 30% of hair is removed at first session,
so the treatment must be repeated after a month.
Treatment Procedure
For laser or IPL depilation, the treated
area should be shaved one or two days before treatment. Facial hair can be cut
immediately before treatment. The gel
applied to the skin has not only a cooling effect, but it also improves the
contact between the skin and the laser/IPL hand-piece. The hair starts to fall
within two to three weeks after treatment which is then repeated five to seven
times, depending on the hair intensity and the area affected. Facial hair
requires multiple repetitions. Thanks to
integrated intensive cooling, treatment is almost painless. The skin in the
area of depilation must be well protected against UV radiation by sunscreen
with SPF 50 + for at least seven days.
